About Me
Luciano Borges Pereira began his martial arts journey with a strong dedication to judo, where he first developed the discipline and foundation that later shaped his career. Over time, he transitioned to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, fully committing to the sport and steadily building his reputation through training, competition, and technical refinement.
With decades of experience, Luciano earned his Black Belt under Gracie Barra and has consistently competed at a high level, achieving podium finishes in major international tournaments across different countries and categories.
He holds an active IBJJF ID (298110), renewed annually as part of the federation’s official process for maintaining athlete status. This continuous registration—currently valid through 2026—confirms his ongoing eligibility to represent Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in IBJJF competitions worldwide.
Luciano maintains active education inside the Gracie Barra system through courses such as Ethics and Gracie Barra and GB Fundamentals, which reinforce his alignment with the organization’s values, philosophy, and competitive culture.
His role is exclusively athletic: Luciano does not teach or provide instruction; his focus is entirely on high-performance training, preparation, and international competition as a Gracie Barra professional athlete.
